This workshop is intended as a forum for researchers from different scientific areas such as bioinformatics, biostatistics and systems biology, who share a common interest in the statistical analysis and modeling of biological systems and their applications in medical research. The workshop has established itself as an interaction hub for computational biology groups situated all over Germany and Europe. The workshop especially encourages the active participation of young scientists.

The workshop is organized in 4 sessions:

  • Session 1: Dynamical modelling → Keynote Speaker: Thilo Figge (Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology, HKI Jena)
  • Session 2: Open topics → Keynote Speaker: Markus Löffler (IMISE, LIFE, University of Leipzig)
  • Session 3: Bioinformatics: Systemsbiology → Keynote Speaker: Sach Mukherjee (DZNE, Bonn)
  • Session 4: Bioinformatics: Medical application → Keynote Speaker: Yves Moreau (KU Leuven, Belgium)
